In a word, Dr. Sumer is “compathoundercare.” Now before you go rushing off to find the dictionary, we’ll tell you this Sumer original was coined during his college days while challenging colleagues to be compassionate, thoughtful, understanding and caring. Thankfully, this family doctor and father of three took his own advice to heart and has exemplified it day in and day out since he founded ICPR in 2001. It’s also the reason he chose Osteopathic Medicine (D.O.) over the more traditional M.D. degree because it offers a more holistic approach to medicine. By combining traditional treatments with spinal manipulations, Dr. Sumer treats the entire person and the source of the condition, not just the uncomfortable symptoms.
